It was a late night on the 3rd so I didn't get to post. Yesterday was absolutely beautiful. We had a perfect day to work. The "old" guys were feeling somewhat better so we began some construction work that was needed--roofing a small dwelling, pulling off the old tin, placing new plyboard, and roofing paper. Claudia and I did a few things at the camp then went over to see if we could help with roof--we were kind of in the way so we helped Rhonda with kids then kayaked--my shoulders feel the pain.
The group from Sunshine Bible Academy is here and they were still cutting wood so Will stayed with them. Please pray for them as they begin VBS on Monday. They have taken Will in like he is their own--a great bunch of kids--I'm very impressed with their witness. We all went to Craig for Fireworks at 11:00 pm. it was just getting dark!!
To bed about 1:00am or so.
July 4th
We finished up a few odds and ends at Hollis Bible camp then went to our place to finish a few last minute things before leaving the island on tomorrow morning. I can't believe time has gone by so fast. It always impacts me how the days zoom by--I already miss the clear sky the tall, green trees and of course the kids!
So I will write you again after we get home to send a few more pictures.

Wed/Thurs
We were up--not quite at dawn but pretty close--over to Naukati for fishing. We met an old' friend of ours Charlie. It was very cool and rainy--he took us out close to Edna Bay for some Halibut fishing. Darrell and I caught the first fish--cod, then Claudia started reeling them in one after the other, halibut and cod. Everyone caught a halibut--small compared to the "big one" that got away but still will taste NICE... The rain held out most of the day but it was in the upper 40's most of the day. Darrell and Chuck went to bed feeling poorly, so Jeff got to clean 9 halibut and 13 cod.
Thanks to Jeff.
Today we woke up and guess what the SUN was out--great day to work but two of us were still not feeling well so it was a day of rest. Claudia did finish the sign she worked on a couple of years ago and we will be able to hang it soon.
SBA arrived last night and they cut wood all day--Will hung out with them--yes and even split some wood. I didn't watch and prayed through the day.
Well better get going--Claudia and I are thinking about walking down to Maybeso to wet a hook.
Talk to you guys tomorrow. Pray as we gear back up to work hard the next two days.
Attempted to add some pictures but I guess it was too much memory--
Pam, Chuck, Will, Claudia and Darrell

Monday/Tuesday
We had rain all day on Monday and alot of the day Tuesday. We worked at the shack cleaning up trash, cutting limbs out of the drive and around the perimeter of the boardwalk. I felt my as well as rest of the crew. Power is available and well as a small window. We've had the pleasure of spending time with members from the church and fellowshipping over meals and playing with children. Tomorrow several of us will get to play!! we are going fishing with an old friend that we worked with at Coffman Cove several years ago--Charlie Stewart. You will definetly hear a "fish" story on tomorrow. Pray for safety and a time where we can meet people in town and make contact for VBS which starts next week.

Church Day
Sorry we missed a post on yesterday but it was a rainy, cold day--snow and sleet in some areas of the island. The guys went into Craig to buy materials while the rest of us hung out with the children and read books.
Today it was still raining but we had a great time of praise and worship. Potluck and the fellowship was awesome also. Pray that we have better weather and that we are able to accomplish all the we need to do.
Pray that you all had a great Sunday!
Talk to you tomorrow.

Finally here!!
We finally made it after a long long trying time in Atlanta--we left Atlanta at 5:00ish on yesterday arrived in Seattle at 7:30 (their time). After a conversation with Delta they graciously gave us a hotel room for the night. We had a good night sleep and up at 5:00 this morning to board a plane for Ketchikan--Finally.
But I have to tell you the cool part, the lady I sat by on the Seattle to Ketchikan trip was headed to Wrangell to check on her 25 year old daughter who is a counselor for the state of Alaska with troubled children. She takes them out in the wilderness for 9 weeks at a time to "rough it in nature". She(Amanda) has contracted either shingles or some kind of infection that has affected her right eye and her face. She was placed in the clinic in Wrangell and is awaiting the news of her diagnosis. Her mother and I had a wonderful conversation about Christ and how awesome HE is to even care who we sit by in a plane....(may be the reason we were delayed) anyway we got to pray with her. AWESOME!!
We found our luggage waiting on us at the airport in Ktn. and was able to ride a float plane over to Prince of Wales--Hollis. Finally arriving at 11:30 on Friday after traveling for some 28 hours.
Pray for continued safety, servanthood, open hearts and minds to the gospel and sweet rest!!
Love all of you,
Chuck, Pam, Will and Darrell and Claudia

Delta is Not ready when you are!!!!
4:00 and we are still in Atlanta, long, long story that started off this morning---with delay after delay. Ok Lord what are you telling us!! Our patience is short and Claudia and I have the giggles. Where is "planes are Us" when you need them..Chuck is a little punchy also.
Pray that we make it soon-we know we will be sleeping in Seattle.
Hollis on tomorrow no thanks to Delta.
Love you guys,
Pam

June 24th

Exhausted from attempting to get 5days worth of work completed in 3 days, packing, cleaning,
rearranging--busy work. Trying to keep our pack including carry on under 40 lbs-since some of us will be taking our first float plane over to Hollis??
No matter how many times we have made this trip each is so exciting because we always see God's mighty handy work. The beautiful ocean, landscape, the whales, eagles and then of course the beautiful children....wanting friendship and someone to pay them a little attention. I can't help but think of all those that have made this trip with us, making a profound difference in their lives. The hard work and even the limited play time is meaningful. Pray for rest, safety, the Holy Spirit's work on hearts and minds to soften.
So as we leave in the morning--7:50 a.m. (if you are up) watch the plane fly overhead and PRAY!
Thank you for praying and following us.
We love ya,
Chuck,Pam,Will, Darrell and Claudia
